Do the prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on the site includes GST at 10%, and the GST component is shown on the basket and the order.
How is timber priced?
Each product says how it is sold. Per piece: a rate per lineal metre times the stock length you choose, times the number of pieces. Random lengths: a rate per lineal metre times the total metres you enter. Per item: a price each, for doors, sheets and hardware. Per square metre: enter the area and the site works out whole packs. Per cubic metre: the rate times the volume of the pieces. The product page calculates the total as you change the quantity.
What does "random lengths" mean?
You order a total number of metres and the stock is supplied as boards of varying lengths that add up to that total. Individual lengths are not selected and are not guaranteed, so plan joins where they can be supported.
Can I collect my order?
Yes. Every JBM product can be collected from the JBM warehouse, and so can marketplace stock held in Victoria. Choose "Warehouse pickup" at the checkout. If an item in your basket is delivery only, the checkout says which one.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is calculated at the checkout from your postcode, the weight of the order and the longest piece. If it cannot be priced automatically, JBM quotes it after you place the order and you confirm the total before anything is charged.
What is the Marketplace?
Sale stock, factory seconds, excess stock and discontinued lines from independent suppliers, plus JBM's own sale items, sold through the JBM checkout. You buy from JBM and pay JBM; the supplier dispatches the item or it is collected from the JBM warehouse where that is offered.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. An account lets you see your orders and quotes, save delivery addresses and sign in faster next time.
How do I pay?
The payment methods available to you are listed at the checkout and depend on whether you collect or have the order delivered. An order whose delivery still has to be quoted is paid once JBM confirms the total.
Can I get a quote for a larger job?
Yes. Add items to your quote list instead of the basket and send it to JBM with your details. JBM prices each line and sends the quote back; accepting it turns it into an order at the quoted figures.
What if something is out of stock?
Products that need confirmation say so on the product page. An order with such a line is placed as usual, JBM checks availability and confirms before supply, and you are told if anything changes.
Can I return an item?
JBM to confirm: the returns policy. Items cut or made to order (for example a door with a face hole cut) are special orders and cannot be returned once made.
