These terms apply to all orders placed through this website. By placing an order you agree to them. They sit alongside our returns, delivery and click and collect policies and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

JBM as seller
JBM is the seller for every order on this website, including products listed in the JBM Marketplace. Marketplace products come from independent suppliers, but you buy from JBM, you pay JBM through the one checkout, and JBM is responsible to you for the goods under these terms and the Australian Consumer Law.
Prices and GST
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Prices are shown per the unit sold, such as per lineal metre, piece, sheet, pack or door. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout and also include GST. A tax invoice is issued for each order.
Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send an order confirmation, and a contract is formed at that point. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if goods are out of stock, a price or description was clearly wrong, or we cannot deliver to your address. If we cancel after payment, we refund you in full.
Payment
Payment is captured at the time of sale. The payment methods available are shown at checkout and may change from time to time. Card, wallet and PayPal payments are captured when your order total is final, which for orders needing a manual delivery quote is once you confirm that quote. Payments are processed securely by Stripe and PayPal, and we do not store your full card details.
Product information
We take care to describe products accurately, but timber is a natural product. Colour, grain, knots and size can vary, and photos and samples are a guide only. Dimensions may be nominal. Check that products suit your job before you order, and ask us if you need advice. Some images on this website are for illustration only.
Stock and Marketplace listings
Stock shown is a guide and may change before we pick your order. For Marketplace listings, stock and condition (for example sale stock, factory seconds or excess stock) are declared by the supplier and reviewed by JBM. If goods are not available, we will tell you and offer a substitute, a delay or a refund. All Marketplace sales are final and Marketplace goods are sold as-is, in the condition shown on the listing, as set out in our returns policy. Marketplace orders cannot be cancelled after payment.
Quotes
Quotes we provide are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise, and are subject to stock and price changes after that. JBM does not accept responsibility for technical issues in the quoting process. If a quote is wrong or an issue occurs, we may issue a refund or a new quote and discuss the options with you.
Delivery, risk and ownership
Delivery and collection are covered in our delivery and click and collect policies. All timelines are a guide only and depend on the nature of the products, and some products are on back-order and may take longer. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection. Ownership passes to you when we receive full payment.
Returns and consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Our returns policy explains how to make a claim and how change of mind returns work.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, and subject to your consumer guarantees, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by incorrect use or installation of goods or by events outside our control. Where goods are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, and the law permits, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, at our choice, to replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods, repairing the goods, or paying the cost of replacing or repairing them. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your account and website use
Keep your login details secure and give us accurate information. You must not misuse this website, interfere with it or try to gain unauthorised access. Content on this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to JBM or its suppliers and may not be copied without permission.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version at the time you order applies to your order. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, and the courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
